 "From a young age, I have been committed to building a career that enables me to make a meaningful impact in the field of agriculture. My goal is to pursue a profession in extension education and program development, where I can contribute to the advancement of agricultural communities and initiatives."

Kara has a strong background in community and workforce development, she is dedicated to creating programs that drive meaningful change. Her work is rooted in Positive Youth Development (PYD), a framework pioneered by Richard Lerner, which emphasizes the strengths and potential of young people. Through her experience in program development, she has designed and implemented initiatives that empower individuals and communities. Looking ahead, she aims to leverage this expertise to develop innovative programs that foster growth, resilience, and long-term success.

Kara has earned her B.S. in Animal Sciences with a minor in Biodiversity Conservation. She is now pursuing her M.S. in Agriculture, Leadership, and Community Education.
